Will Write For Readers
This is how it begins. Not with a bang or screech, but simply with the sound of a turning page. We need readers in order to help with an important cause. Spread this written word all across the land and let it creep back into our culture. We need readers to shut off their televisions and take back their right to think. America is stuck on a permanent commercial break from exercising our most important body part, the mind. Flashing flat screen giants drain the brain’s ability to form independent thought. Television networks run the world while starving book store owners wait in welfare lines unable to make a living off of literary endeavors. Reality t.v. reigns supreme. We have become a simple society reduced to caring more about watching a sixteen year old mother ruin her life as well as that of her child as opposed to bettering our brains with stories crafted creatively by people who crave more than a brain dead audience. Put down those eighteen remotes that have come to rule your life and pick up a book or magazine or instruction booklet or anything even if there are naked models in between the words you are reading just put your minds back into motion. I demand the words my pen has bled upon this page reach these readers we need and then share them with future readers we desperately desire. Us writers can’t survive without you and if we continue to be ignored our words will eventually disappear. The dumbing down dies right here, right now. This is the beginning and you read it here first.
